Bio

Eric’s practice focuses on representing public companies, financial institutions, broker-dealers, investment advisers, and corporate officers in connection with government securities investigations involving the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, the United States Department of Justice, and other federal, state, and local agencies. He has also conducted internal investigations on behalf of public companies and committees of public company boards.  Eric has represented companies in matters related to complex securities trading practices, the registration of cryptocurrency exchanges, data breach investigations, accounting and financial reporting issues, and public company disclosure issues.  On many occasions, Eric has helped clients navigate matters from the regulatory investigation stage through the resolution of follow-on private civil securities and derivative litigations in federal and state court. He also has significant experience in addressing issues related to electronic discovery in both the investigation and litigation contexts.

Before joining King & Spalding, Eric was Special Counsel in the New York office of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.
