backKing & Spalding is representing Quantum Capital Group in its sale of Cogentrix Energy, a premier U.S. independent power producer, to Vistra Corp. (NYSE: VST) for a total consideration of approximately $4.7 billion. The sale includes 10 modern natural gas generation facilities totaling approximately 5,500 MW of capacity, consisting of three combined cycle gas turbine facilities and two combustion turbine facilities located across PJM, four combined cycle gas turbine facilities in ISO New England, and one cogeneration facility in ERCOT.
The King & Spalding team representing Quantum in the transaction is led by Enrico Granata, David Runnels, Andrew Ketner, Emma Jiang and Matthew Kraemer.
