King & Spalding Adds Two Finance Partners in London

LONDON, August 31, 2022 — King & Spalding has recruited finance partners Richard Kitchen and Amin Doulai for its Corporate, Finance and Investments (CFI) Practice Group in London.

Kitchen has significant experience advising private equity sponsors, investment banks and private credit institutions on complex cross-border acquisition and leveraged finance transactions and is ranked in Chambers and IFLR 1000. Doulai advises alternative capital and private credit funds, as well as corporates, family offices and private equity sponsors across all types of private debt investments, with a particular focus on leveraged acquisition and corporate finance transactions

“We have been making significant investments in our private credit practice over the past 24 months, and Richard and Amin are the perfect fit to not only enhance our finance practice in London but also deepen our team of market-leading partners providing an integrated offering across our global platform,” said Todd Holleman, head of the firm’s CFI practice. “They have significant experience in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financings with top-tier private credit funds and financial institutions. Richard and Amin give us a variety of new options for our clients in how to successfully close their most critical financing transactions.”

Kitchen and Doulai will join the firm’s current London finance team, which includes partner Benoit Lavigne and counsels Andrew Brown and Kevin Gilroy.

“King & Spalding is developing a dynamic and innovative international financing platform, especially in London and New York, which makes the firm an ideal destination for us,” Kitchen added. “We share many common clients and undertake many of the similar high-end cross-border financing transactions. Amin and I are excited to be joining such a strong banking and finance practice where we will be able to put our clients’ needs first.”
