LONDON, August 3, 2026 – King & Spalding announced today that partners Steven Finizio and Jonathan Lim have joined the firm as part of the ongoing expansion of its International Disputes practice group. They are based in London.
“Steve and Jonny are highly regarded international arbitration and litigation lawyers and critical members of our group that recently joined King & Spalding to form a peerless international disputes practice,” said partner Gary Born, who joined the firm in June and now serves as co-leader of the firm’s International Disputes practice group. “Steve and Jonny bring top-notch disputes capabilities and experience in key sectors like energy, financial services, manufacturing and technology, further expanding ways we can collaborate to help clients navigating complex disputes around the globe.”
Finizio and Lim move from WilmerHale and rejoin Born, Franz Schwarz, Marleen Krueger, Rachael Kent and Danielle Morris, who joined King & Spalding in June and Charlie Caher, who joined in July. The full team that has joined the firm spans its London, New York and Washington D.C. offices and comprises 8 partners and 7 other lawyers. Lim, while based in London, will also spend significant time in the firm’s Singapore office.
“The international disputes platform that King & Spalding has – and continues to develop – is dynamic, bold and visionary, so it’s a natural destination for us,” said Finizio.
“King & Spalding has built one of the deepest international disputes benches in the market, including in key markets such as London, Paris and Singapore, and we are delighted to join a firm with a truly global platform that lets us serve our clients seamlessly — and at the highest levels of excellence — across major arbitration hubs,” added Lim.
The team’s arrival adds further momentum to King & Spalding’s London growth, with 11 of the 15 new lawyers based in London. In addition to the six London-based partners who are part of this team, the London office also added partners Raymond Fang and Jade-Alexandra Fearns earlier this year and secured the lease for the 47th floor in 8 Bishopsgate, which is the seventh floor the firm has in the building.
“We are experiencing a period of exceptional growth in London and the addition of Steve, Jonny and the rest of this preeminent team is one more sign of how we are positioning King & Spalding as a premiere choice for clients’ most complex legal issues,” said Tom Sprange, KC, managing partner of the London office. “We continue to actively invest in our infrastructure and our people as we build a preeminent London presence.
