  • Represent a global technology leader in the In re ChatGPT Product Liability Cases coordinated proceedings in San Francisco County Superior Court in which multiple plaintiffs assert wrongful death and personal injury claims arising from user interactions with generative AI technologies.
  • Defend multinational plastic resin manufacturer in federal court class action related to plastic pollution.
  • Defend multinational plastic resin manufacturer in state Attorney General investigation related to mechanical recycling and plastic pollution.
  • Represent Dow Chemical in federal and state court litigation involving alleged 1,2,3-trichloropropane (TCP) contamination of public drinking water sources, including In re TCP Cases JCCP pending in San Bernardino County.
  • Counsel shipping and logistics company related to workplace safety investigation and related product liability litigation.
  • Represented Chevron in litigation brought by individual plaintiffs alleging personal injuries arising from use of JUUL vaping products, including In re Juul Labs, Inc., Marketing, Sales Practices, and Products Liability Litigation MDL in the Northern District of California.
  • Secured dismissal of major petrochemical company in state court litigation alleging hexavalent chromium contamination of public drinking water sources.
  • Represented manufacturer of PCBs against local entities and state Attorney General natural resource damage claims.
  • Secured dismissal of auto insurance company in consumer class action alleging systematic undervaluing of insurance claims for “totaled” vehicles.
  • Secured dismissal of consumer credit reporting agency in consumer class action where plaintiffs alleged the willful reporting of erroneous information on credit reports.
Bio

Bailey Langner leads technology companies, product manufacturers, and energy-sector clients through high-stakes product liability litigation, personal injury claims, mass torts, and related government investigations. Drawing on substantial experience in multidistrict litigation (MDLs), state coordinated proceedings, and trial preparation, she develops practical, business-focused strategies that mitigate risk, protect company interests, and position clients for successful outcomes in complex disputes.

In addition to her legal practice, Bailey is active in the community.  She mentors students through the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity and previously served as a trustee on her local school board.  She has a robust pro bono practice, including representing asylum seekers and assisting students renew their DACA status.  

Bailey received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she co-founded a clinical program helping underserved populations access public benefits and worked as a teaching assistant in the first-year legal writing program.
