Radha Sathe Manthe

• Secured a landmark settlement on behalf of LGBTQ+ veterans who were discharged under Don't Ask, Don't Tell and predecessor policies to set up streamlined processes that would allow them to revise their discharge papers and seek discharge upgrades
• Obtained dismissal of a wrongful death lawsuit for a nonprofit organization that ran an after-school program and summer camp
• Secured asylum for clients from Afghanistan, Jamaica, and Togo

Radha Manthe has responsibility for the firmwide pro bono program. Since joining the firm’s pro bono team in 2022, she has been instrumental to the growth in pro bono activities across all offices and practice groups. In that time, that firm’s lawyers have achieved many successes for their pro bono clients, and the program has grown into new areas. Radha has also overseen and managed a large increase in pro bono collaborations with corporate clients.

Radha fosters relationships with nonprofit legal services providers to identify and create impactful pro bono opportunities. She also builds relationships internally to ensure that firm attorneys and staff find pro bono opportunities that are meaningful to them. She puts special emphasis on working with young lawyers to establish pro bono as a regular part of their practice from day one.

Radha also maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on immigration matters, landlord-tenant matters, criminal records relief matters, and civil litigation. Some representative matters include a landmark settlement in a federal lawsuit on behalf of LGBTQ+ veterans who were discharged under Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and predecessor policies to streamline the processes for revising their discharge papers and granting them discharge upgrades; representing a nonprofit organization in a wrongful death case; and securing asylum and other immigration relief for noncitizen clients. She has also assisted a number of tenants in disputes with their landlords and helped clients to expunge old criminal records.

Prior to joining the pro bono team, Radha’s practice focused on representing clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries in nationwide product liability, mass tort, and personal injury litigation.

Radha also serves as the Legal Director for Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority and on the Advisory Board for the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN).
