Bio

Dr. Peter Stainer is a senior associate in King & Spalding's Frankfurt office and a member of the firm’s Corporate, Finance and Investments practice group. He advises clients in all areas of corporate law with a particular focus on M&A transactions, corporate disputes, restructuring and special situations in general. As part of the firm's global Energy & Infrastructure Projects team, Peter further advises international clients in the energy and infrastructure sector, with a particular focus on low carbon energy production, procurement and infrastructure.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Peter was an associate in the Corporate/M&A practice of a French-German law firm, where he advised, inter alia, institutional asset managers on active investments in German companies, and represented such clients in corporate litigation. Before that, he worked, inter alia, at the respective Corporate/M&A and Internal Investigation departments of several renowned Wall Street law firms, as well as an international investment bank and the German consulate general in Atlanta, Georgia.

Peter graduated with distinction from the University of Bayreuth, which is constantly ranked among the top 5 law schools in Germany. Being a German native speaker, he is also fluent in English and French.
