Zach Burnett advises clients in high-stakes, complex product liability and mass tort litigation, including federal multi-district litigations (MDLs) and coordinated state proceedings, involving medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products. He also helps companies manage toxic tort and environmental contamination claims, developing strategic defenses that reduce exposure, streamline litigation, and drive efficient, business-focused resolutions.

Zach works with companies managing complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes, helping coordinate defense efforts across venues, streamline discovery, and position cases for success, whether before or at trial. He brings a disciplined, practical approach aimed at maintaining consistency and reducing unnecessary cost and risk.

Zach also advises on toxic tort and environmental exposure matters, including claims involving alleged groundwater and other contamination. He helps clients assess risk early, engage the right scientific and technical resources, and develop clear, defensible positions in litigation and related proceedings.

He works closely with cross-functional teams—including legal, compliance, risk, and operations—to ensure legal strategy reflects the practical realities of the business. This integrated approach helps clients respond to litigation and regulatory challenges while maintaining day-to-day continuity and long-term objectives.

In addition to his products-liability and environmental practice, Zach maintains an active pro bono docket representing DACA renewal applicants and civil-rights litigants across the country.
