Umbar F. Malik

Umbar’s corporate transactional practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising activities, private equity investments and general corporate and corporate governance matters.

Umbar has worked with public and private companies, venture capital investors, private equity investors, and strategic corporate investors and acquirers across a range of sectors, including technology, hospitality, product merchandise and education. Umbar represents public and private companies and private equity funds in a variety of M&A transactions, including mergers, stock and asset transactions and joint ventures, and corporate matters domestically and globally.

While at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Umbar served as an editor of the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy, Vice President of the Florida Moot Court Team and Associate Justice of the UF Supreme Court. Umbar was also inducted to the UF Hall of Fame in 2020.
