Susan Clare, a partner in our Trial and Global Disputes Practice, is the Co-Chair of the Firm's Automotive and Transportation Litigation Team, named a Practice Group of the Year by Law 360.  Susan represents clients in the automotive/transportation, life sciences, consumer products, and financial services industries in high-exposure class action, mass tort, and other complex litigation. She has been named a Georgia Rising Star by Super Lawyers and Atlanta Magazine every year since 2013. In 2018, Susan was recognized as a Rising Star for Transportation by Law360, one of only four lawyers selected in the category. In 2019 and 2020, Susan was selected as a Next Generation Lawyer by The Legal 500 in two litigation categories. Susan has also been named to Benchmark Litigation's 40& Under Hot List.

With experience in all phases of complex litigation, Susan represents companies in individual, class action and multi-district proceedings in federal and state courts across the country.

She is skilled at handling the types of issues that frequently accompany the highest-exposure matters, such as cases involving recalled and foreign-manufactured products, data breaches, media attention, government investigations, allegations of consumer fraud, jurisdictional challenges, insurance disputes, and extensive expert discovery. In addition to litigation, Susan frequently advises clients on risk assessment and mitigation strategies, product labeling and other consumer communications, government regulations, and product recalls.  Susan also counsels clients on e-discovery issues that include litigation preparedness, discovery strategy in active litigation, and defending against allegations of evidence spoliation.
