People

Rob Garner is a Partner in the Projects and Construction practice in King & Spalding's Houston office. Rob, who is also a licensed Professional Engineer, practices law in the area of construction and procurement. Rob’s practice focuses on the representation of owners and developers in their global construction projects, including power plants, energy storage projects, petrochemical facilities, renewable diesel facilities, gas to liquids facilities, liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction facilities, paper mills, manufacturing facilities, high-rise developments, and university facilities. Rob has experience drafting and negotiating a wide variety of construction related agreements, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements, construction agreements, construction management agreements, long term services agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, engineering agreements, supply agreements and licensing agreements.

After obtaining his bachelor's degree, Rob served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Combat Engineer Officer stationed in Germany, Kosovo, and Macedonia. Afterwards until graduation from law school, Rob worked as a civil engineer, designing roadway projects and site developments throughout Georgia and parts of the Southeast.
