Philip Green is a partner in King & Spalding's Atlanta office and a core member of the firm's nationally recognized Product Liability and Mass Torts practice group—an eight-time Law360 Practice Group of the Year. Philip is an accomplished trial lawyer who has built his career on the defense of high-exposure product liability cases in some of the most challenging venues in the United States. With dozens of jury trials to verdict under his belt, he brings extensive courtroom experience, strategic acumen, and an unwavering commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients.

Professional Experience and Trial Capabilities

Philip's practice is defined by his ability to manage and try complex, high-stakes litigation from inception through trial and appeal. He has represented clients across a range of industries, including consumer products, transportation, real estate, pharmaceutical, medical device, and technology sectors. His trial experience spans both federal and state courts, where he has consistently delivered results in jurisdictions often deemed unfavorable to corporate defendants.

Philip regularly tries multi-week jury cases involving complex liability issues, sympathetic plaintiffs, and challenging facts. King & Spalding's Products Liability and Mass Tort practice tries as many cases each year as any other group in the country, and Philip has been at the forefront of this effort.  Philip's extensive trial experience and deep knowledge of plaintiff strategies inform every aspect of his approach to case management and discovery. He excels at coordinating defense team efforts, leading case management from complaint through trial and appeal, and developing innovative litigation strategies tailored to each matter's unique challenges. When cases require resolution at trial, Philip delivers the kind of courtroom performance that is increasingly rare among lawyers at firms of King & Spalding's caliber.

Philip's trial work has been recognized by Courtroom View Network (CVN), which has featured his closing arguments and trial performances in its archive of notable trial recordings. CVN has highlighted Philip as one of King & Spalding's "top partners in action in front of a jury."
