Phil is a first-chair trial lawyer with more than two decades of experience trying cases in federal and state courts across the United States, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations. He represents companies across a wide range of sectors in high-stakes commercial disputes.
He litigates disputes for life sciences and technology companies arising from complex commercial relationships and intellectual property agreements. Phil also handles a broad range of post-acquisition disputes, representing clients in litigation involving mergers and acquisitions, including milestone, earnout, and other contingent payment disagreements.
In addition, he has significant experience litigating trade secret, intellectual property, and restrictive covenant matters, including claims involving the misappropriation of proprietary information, employee noncompete and non-solicitation agreements, and related business disputes.
Phil also represents plaintiffs and defendants in antitrust litigation and advises companies on antitrust issues arising in the M&A context.
His practice further includes representing private equity and venture capital firms, as well as privately held companies, in disputes relating to investments, corporate governance, partnerships, and the management of portfolio companies.
