Mitchell Bryant represents companies in high-stakes products liability, environmental, and toxic tort litigation arising from their historic products and practices. From individual claims to mass torts and MDLs, Mitchell defends clients in state and federal courts in Texas and across the country, with an emphasis on developing and executing strategies to resolve the complex legal issues clients face at every stage of litigation—from filing through appeal.

Mitchell focuses on toxic tort and products liability disputes involving alleged exposures to a wide range of constituents—including asbestos, PFAS, PCBs, chlorinated solvents, oil-and-gas-related compounds, and other substances—in both consumer products and environmental media. He also helps clients investigate catastrophic injury incidents, particularly in the automotive industry, and defend against resulting litigation.

No matter the dispute, Mitchell works with clients in the energy, chemical, manufacturing, consumer products, and retail sectors to assess risk early, develop and execute winning legal strategies, and focus resources on the arguments and issues most likely to drive favorable resolution, whether by settlement, motion practice, or trial. Outside the office, Mitchell serves the Houston community as a Fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation, through the United Way of Greater Houston’s Chairman’s Club and Young Leaders program, and as a member of several other legal and charitable organizations.

A native Oklahoman, Mitchell earned his law degree with highest honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Oklahoma Law Review. Before law school, he graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a National Merit Scholar. Mitchell previously worked as a nonpartisan staff member in the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
