Melanie K. Bettis is a staff attorney with King & Spalding’s E-Discovery practice. Her practice focuses on electronic discovery issues, particularly with respect to the representation of clients in matters of product liability and governmental investigations. Melanie has been involved in both individual cases and class actions pending in state and federal courts around the country.

Assisting in supervising and managing review and production of over six million documents in connection with multidistrict litigation for a multi-national automobile manufacturer. In connection with discovery, reviewed and analyzed documents for responsiveness, privilege, significance, and confidentiality.
Supervising and managing the preparation of pre-trial materials, including deposition transcript digests, for national counsel in a large-scale, automotive products liability and consumer class action proceeding.
Assisting in the review of 960,000 documents and preparation of a privilege log in order to obtain government regulatory approval for a merger of energy companies. The review, production and log were completed in less than one month, and the merger was ultimately approved.
