People

Matthew’s practice concentrates on large-scale, complex construction transactions. He advises major energy companies on the development and execution of domestic and international projects ranging from liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities and petrochemical production (e.g., ethane cracker and aromatics complex) to offshore and subsea projects.  Matthew has negotiated and advised clients on an array of in-depth construction-related agreements, including: engineering, procurement, and construction (e.g., EP, EPC, and EPCI); construction management; fabrication; FEED; professional services; master agreements; technology licensing; and long term service.

Matthew’s transaction and litigation experience provides clients with a practical, commercial driven approach to achieving project-related goals.  Before joining the Houston office of King & Spalding, Matthew was a construction attorney in New York and represented owners and developers on marquee construction projects.  Matthew has also represented clients in construction litigation matters before federal and state courts in New York, as well as in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
