Luke Fields is counsel in King & Spalding’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Special Matters and Government Investigations practice.
Luke focuses his practice on white collar criminal litigation, government investigations, complex civil investigation, corporate internal investigations, and compliance counseling. Luke advises clients on several types of white collar matters, including: healthcare criminal and civil investigations; the False Claims Act; the Anti-Kickback Statute; the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; and whistleblower cases.
Luke has experience defending companies and individuals in investigations conducted by the federal and state governments of the United States, including various U.S. Attorney’s offices across the country, litigating divisions of the Department of Justice, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, and state Attorneys General. Luke has conducted domestic and international internal investigations for companies across a range of industries, and has experience collaborating with forensic auditors, and preparing disclosures, written submissions, and presentations to government agencies.
Luke graduated cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies and Sherman Minton Moot Court Board. While an undergraduate, Luke served as president of the student body.
Fluent in Spanish, Luke completed additional honors studies in literature at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in Lima and in business law at the Escuela Superior de Administración y Dirección de Empresas in Barcelona.
