John Lisy is a Senior Associate in King & Spalding’s Charlotte office and a member of the firm’s Real Estate & Funds practice group. He represents private equity firms, institutional investors, developers, investment managers, and other sophisticated real estate owners and operators in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial real estate transactions across the United States and internationally.

John Lisy is a Senior Associate in King & Spalding’s Charlotte office and a member of the firm’s Real Estate & Funds practice group. He represents private equity firms, institutional investors, developers, investment managers, and other sophisticated real estate owners and operators in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial real estate transactions across the United States and internationally.

John advises clients throughout the full lifecycle of their real estate investments, including asset and entity-level acquisitions and dispositions, programmatic and single-asset joint ventures, development transactions, leasing, and real estate finance matters. His work spans multiple asset classes—such as office, industrial, multifamily, retail, data center, hospitality, and mixed-use properties—and reflects a deep understanding of market dynamics and investor priorities.

Drawing on experience representing both developers and equity investors, John structures and negotiates joint ventures and other partnerships designed to balance risk, align incentives, and support long-term investment and development strategies.

John is known for delivering practical, business-minded counsel that prioritizes efficiency, clear communication, and strategic execution.
