A former two-time U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California, a 34-county district headquartered in Sacramento with an area that stretches from the Oregon border to Bakersfield, Greg Scott is an experienced trial lawyer who represents major companies facing government investigations and litigation, with a focus in the healthcare, retail, and construction industries. He has extensive knowledge on matters involving consumer protection, construction accidents, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the False Claims Act (FCA).  The combination of his vast experience as a prosecutor and conducting internal investigations as a defense attorney consistently leads to great results for his clients.  

Greg represents corporations under criminal and/or civil investigation by Federal, state, and local prosecutors' offices.  He has extensive experience conducing internal investigations for companies under scrutiny in a wide-range of subject matters, including health care, consumer protection, the False Claims Act, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.  Greg has been on the opposite side of the table in investigations brought by multiple Federal agencies, the California Attorney General, and several California District Attorneys.   The combination of his experience as a prosecutor and as a defense attorney and his stature among prosecutors in California has led to great results for his clients.  

Greg started his legal career as a deputy district attorney in Contra Costa County. CA where he tried approximately 100 jury trials to verdict and then became the twice-elected District Attorney of Shasta County, CA. He also served as an Adjunct Professor of National Security Law at the McGeorge School of Law following his first term as U.S. Attorney for the E.D. of California. Between his two terms as U.S. Attorney, Greg was the vice chair of the white-collar defense and corporate investigations practice at an AmLaw 50 firm.   He retired as a lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Army Reserve after 23 years of service as an infantry officer.
