Germaine focuses on complex litigation in federal and state court. She represents clients across a range of industries in resolving contract disputes, purported class actions, and government investigations. Germaine also maintains an active pro bono practice, with an emphasis on criminal law and civil rights.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Germaine clerked for the Honorable Brian S. Miller of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. She also practiced at another global law firm.

During law school, Germaine was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology and the President and co-founder of Northwestern's chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project. She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Matthew F. Kennelly of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Prior to law school, Germaine taught prekindergarten in New Orleans, Louisiana through Teach for America.
