Bradford Ward specializes in litigating and investigating trade remedy matters and developing market access strategies for clients in a broad range of industries. His 35-year career as an international trade expert includes 9 years in the Obama and Trump administrations. Brad served as Deputy General Counsel in the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) and Assistant United States Trade Representative for Monitoring & Enforcement as well as the initial Director establishing and managing an interagency center for trade enforcement. He draws upon this firsthand knowledge of U.S. and foreign trade enforcement decision makers, policies, practices, and trends as well as decades in private practice leading an international trade team for a global law firm to best position his clients.
Brad brings an exceptional background to solving clients’ complex trade issues. He has counseled clients on a broad range of matters including developing and implementing strategies for litigation of a variety of trade proceedings, presenting client positions to Federal and state legislators and government officials, and negotiating cooperative agreements between foreign and domestic industries.
Having extensive knowledge of WTO challenges and established relationships with the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Justice, Defense, and Energy as well as the intelligence community, Brad offers clients an unparalleled mix of understanding, experience, and resources to address wide-ranging trade disputes.
