Bio

Benjamin A. Torres maintains a diverse litigation practice spanning intellectual property, licensing disputes, and product liability. 

Ben regularly represents businesses and industries in high-stakes intellectual property and licensing disputes with music rightsholders, including copyright infringement claims. His clients have included a global social media entertainment platform, the commercial radio broadcast industry, United States public radio stations, and a television music service. He also represents medical device manufacturers in product liability personal injury mass tort litigation. 

Ben brings a comprehensive litigation skill set to every engagement, including persuasive motions practice and brief writing, depositions, docket management and case development, litigation strategy, and trial preparation and assistance.

Beyond his practice, Ben is deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession. He served as President of the Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia in 2024, capping more than five years of service on the organization's Board of Directors. In 2022, he received the State Bar of Georgia's "One-to-Watch" award for his commitment to diversity, equity, and social justice in the legal profession. Ben served on the Board of Directors for the State Bar of Georgia's Young Lawyers Division in 2025 and was selected as a 2023 Pathfinder with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). At King & Spalding, he is a member of the firm's LGBTQ+ Affinity Group and serves on the leadership team for the Latinx Affinity Group.
