Ashley Cordero is an associate in the Special Matters and Government Investigations practice in King & Spalding's Washington, D.C. office. Her practice focuses on crisis management counseling, government investigations, corporate compliance, and independent investigations. Ashley's experiences include representing clients in matters before the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and Congressional Committees. 

Ashley earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. At the University of Virginia, Ashley spent a summer as a law clerk for the Federal Public Defender's Office for the Western District of Virginia, and participated in UVA's Prosecution Clinic where she represented the Commonwealth of Virginia in the City of Charlottesville. She served on the executive board of the Virginia Journal of Criminal Law and was a Legal Writing Fellow. Before attending law school, Ashley was a litigation and antitrust paralegal in Washington, D.C. Ashley earned a dual degree in Sociology and Spanish with a minor in Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
