Ankit Bahri is Counsel in King & Spalding's Singapore office and a core member of the firm's Special Matters & Government Investigations practice. As a critical contributor to the firm's Asia-Pacific investigations platform, Ankit is a go-to advisor for complex, cross-border white-collar matters that demand immediate, board-level attention.

Ankit's practice focuses on high-stakes internal and external corporate investigations, regulatory enforcement, and compliance advisory across the Asia-Pacific region. He regularly leads or co-leads workstreams on matters involving allegations of bribery and corruption, money laundering, fraud, sanctions and export controls violations, and securities enforcement—often in multi-jurisdictional contexts where U.S., U.K., and Asian regulatory regimes intersect. His clients include global leaders in technology, energy, private equity, financial services, and real estate, and he is trusted to manage matters that carry significant legal, financial, and reputational exposure.

A hallmark of Ankit's approach is rapid stabilization under privilege, disciplined evidence development, and credible engagement with authorities and stakeholders. He plays a substantive role on some of the firm's most high-profile global mandates, including coordinating multi-agency response packages, supervising targeted fact development and document reviews, and supporting board-level decision-making on accelerated government deadlines. His U.S. legal training and Washington, D.C. investigations experience—combined with his prior in-house role at a major international bank—enable true follow-the-sun coverage and a regulator-ready posture on compressed timelines.

Before joining King & Spalding, Ankit worked in the Disputes and Government Investigations Legal team at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, where he managed government and regulatory investigations, cross-border disputes, and internal investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, bribery, corruption, and money laundering across South and Southeast Asia. He was previously seconded to the Singapore office of a large public pension fund, where he managed compliance reviews of investment opportunities across Asia and Australia. Ankit began his career at two top-tier U.S. law firms in New York and Washington, D.C., working on commercial litigation, international arbitration, white-collar defense, and government investigations.

Ankit has experience with investigations involving the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control, the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission, the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority, the U.K. Prudential Regulation Authority, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Singapore Police Force, and the Indonesian KPK. He also has substantial experience in international arbitration under the ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, LMAA, and LCIA Rules.

Ankit received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a Clarence Darrow scholar, served as a Contributing Editor to the Michigan Law Review, and graduated Order of the Coif.

Ankit was promoted to Counsel in December 2025.
