Angie Alfaro focuses on energy and infrastructure transactions. Her practice focuses exclusively on the representation of owners and developers in their global construction projects, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and export facilities, gas-to-liquids plants, floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) projects, pipelines, power generation, and other major energy and industrial infrastructure.
Angie’s practice encompasses the full contracting lifecycle — from project delivery strategy and RFP development through negotiation of EPC, EPCM, FEED, construction management, long-term service, and operation and maintenance agreements — as well as performance bonds and corporate guarantees. She brings a commercial mindset developed across both law firm and senior in-house roles.
Prior to rejoining King & Spalding, Angie served as Assistant General Counsel at Hess Corporation (acquired by Chevron), where she led the supply chain legal function and held primary negotiating responsibility for drilling contracts, well services agreements, and infrastructure contracts across domestic and international operations. Earlier in her career, she served as construction counsel at Shell Oil Company, advising on Gas-to-Liquids and LNG projects, and clerked for the Honorable Chief Justice Alma L. López of the Court of Appeals, Fourth District of Texas.
Angie is known for her direct, practical approach to complex transactions and her ability to work across commercial, engineering, and project management teams to keep projects moving. She has managed high-stakes negotiations on projects across the United States and internationally.
Angie earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University, a M.S.E. in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Texas.
