Agnès Bizard is an International Arbitration Counsel in King & Spalding’s Paris office. Her practice focuses on investment, construction and commercial disputes, with particular focus on infrastructure, energy and manufacturing sectors.
Agnès has participated in numerous arbitral proceedings conducted under the ICSID, ICC, AFA and CCJA arbitration rules, in which she delivered opening and closing arguments and cross-examined witnesses, quantum and technical experts. She has substantial experience in multiple jurisdictions and in Africa especially. She also frequently appears before French courts in set aside proceedings.
Her work includes counseling investors, industrials or States on conflicts regarding expropriation claims, mining and port concession agreements, construction disputes and tax stabilization agreements.
Her work also includes acting as arbitrator and as administrative secretary to arbitral tribunals.
Agnès is Co-Chair of the IBA Subcommittee on Recognition and Enforcement of Arbitral Awards and Co-Chair of the CFA40.
