Christie Cardon represents clients in disputes and regulatory matters across the energy and healthcare sectors. She helps healthcare organizations, including hospitals and organ procurement organizations, navigate complex litigation, government investigations, reimbursement challenges, and fraud and abuse matters. Christie has defended nationally ranked not-for-profit hospitals in False Claims Act investigations and represents organ procurement organizations in multifaceted litigation and regulatory proceedings.
In the energy industry, Christie advises and represents companies in complex commercial litigation, contract disputes, business torts, and arbitration proceedings. She has extensive experience litigating these matters in federal and state courts and before domestic arbitration panels.
In addition, Christie serves as co-coordinator of pro bono efforts in the Houston office and is on the firmwide pro bono committee. She has received numerous pro bono service awards for her work in the Houston community and at the firm.
Prior to joining King & Spalding, Christie served as a law clerk for the Honorable W. Royal Furgeson of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
Christie is the immediate past president and current vice president of the Board of Trustees of Chinquapin Preparatory School in Highlands, Texas. She has also served on various Houston Bar Association Committees and is a former board member for Books Between Kids and the Pink Ribbons Project in Houston.
