REACH: EU Environmental Regulations That Apply to U.S. Companies

Program Speakers

Ulf H. Grundmann, Joëlle Herschtel and James K. Vines

Description

American and other non-EU companies selling products into the European Union must comply with an EU regulatory program known as Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & Restriction of Chemicals, more commonly known by its acronym "REACH." EU REACH is a complex system of regulations that can severely impede the ability of American and other non-EU based companies to do business in the EU in the absence of rigorous procedures to comply with REACH's requirements. Despite the specification of "chemicals" in the name, REACH actually governs imports, manufacture and trade in a wide variety of finished products, product components, raw materials and commodities. In this e-Learn program, King & Spalding REACH specialists based in Frankfurt and Paris will identify REACH issues of particular importance to American and other non-EU based companies and offer guidance on the steps needed for REACH compliance to enable completion of EU import transactions and continuity of EU operations by non-native enterprises.

You may register for the program here.
