Product Liability Trial Lawyer Greg Chernack Joins King & Spalding

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 6, 2024 – King & Spalding announced today that product liability trial lawyer Greg Chernack has joined the firm as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office.

Chernack has more than 20 years of practice focused on trial and appellate litigation involving complex legal issues, with extensive experience handling pharmaceutical and mass tort litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country. His work has concentrated on the development of expert and company witnesses in preparation for trial and complex motions practice, including the development of successful defenses to lawsuits around the country. This work has included the representation of pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturers in defending numerous products liability lawsuits.

“Greg is well known to many of our partners and brings a skill set that fits perfectly with our product liability and mass torts practice,” said Andy Bayman, co-leader of the practice. “He is bright, ambitious and will slot right in on many of our ongoing matters.”

Chernack joins the firm from litigation boutique firm Hollingsworth LLP, where he was a partner. Earlier in his career, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ralph K. Winter, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and to the Honorable Jack B. Weinstein, Senior Judge of U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his JD from Yale Law School. He also received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Oxford University.

“I’m excited to be joining a thriving, top-tier product liability practice at a forward-looking firm like King & Spalding,” said Chernack. “The firm’s platform gives me an opportunity to collaborate with top talent in this field and expand the ways I can help serve clients. I look forward to getting started.”
