backLeadership Atlanta has selected King & Spalding partner Michelle Stewart for its Leadership Atlanta Class. The Leadership Atlanta program is a nine-month, executive-level series. The program equips young leaders early in their careers with the skills and knowledge needed to be effective leaders committed to the common good, according to Leadership Atlanta. The training is designed to help move the metro Atlanta area “toward unity and shared prosperity.”
Stewart represents public and private companies, including private equity firms and their portfolio companies, in M&A and other strategic corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs and minority investments. She counsels clients in a wide variety of industries, including the technology, financial services, industrial, healthcare, logistics and manufacturing sectors.
After beginning her career at King & Spalding, Michelle spent several years as Chief Counsel for Georgia-Pacific and Koch Industries where she focused on advising their businesses on M&A and other complex transactions before returning to King & Spalding.
