PARIS, July 22, 2019 – King & Spalding has hired banking and finance lawyer Anne Vrignaud as a partner in the Corporate, Finance & Investments (CFI) Practice Group in Paris.
Vrignaud’s practice covers a wide variety of finance advice, including acquisition finance, real estate finance and debt restructuring work. She regularly advises major investment funds, banks and financial institutions as well as major French and international lenders on complex financings. Vrignaud was previously a partner at Baker McKenzie.
“Anne has represented many of the best-known institutional corporate lenders, both French and international, on critical investments and transactions so she is ideally placed to help us further develop our finance capabilities in Paris and beyond,” said Todd Holleman, head of the firm’s CFI practice. “Her experience lends itself to stand-alone banking and finance work but also complements our existing transactional capabilities, meaning we have added strength in areas such as real estate, M&A, private equity and projects.”
Vrignaud is the fifth partner to join King & Spalding’s Paris office since mid-2018. Earlier this year, real estate partner Guillaume Aubatier joined the CFI team from Ashurst while last year saw M&A and private equity partner Laurent Bensaid join from Hoche Société d’Avocats. Last summer also saw international arbitration specialists Marc-Olivier Langlois (from Hughes Hubbard) and Laurent Jaeger (from Orrick) join the office as partners.
“Anne is a fantastic fit for our growing transactional practice, especially the overlap with our real estate and corporate expertise, led by Guillaume Aubatier and Laurent Bensaid respectively,” added Vanessa Benichou, office managing partner in Paris. “Alongside our recent recruits in the disputes practice, and further planned expansions, it is an exciting time for our Paris office.”
