backWASHINGTON, July 7, 2026 – King & Spalding announced today that Meredith Pohl has joined the firm as a partner in its Business Litigation practice group. She is based in the Washington, D.C. office.
Pohl’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal court and congressional, governmental, and regulatory investigations. Her work spans pharmaceutical, antitrust, energy and congressional investigations matters.

Pohl joins King & Spalding from Kirkland & Ellis, where she was a partner. Prior to joining private practice, Pohl served in various roles in the U.S. Senate, including as Deputy General Counsel to Senator Rob Portman, and Counsel for the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. She also clerked for judges on the United States Courts of Appeals for the Tenth and Fifth Circuits. She earned her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law, summa cum laude, and her B.A. from Purdue University.
