Lisa Bugni has spent her career turning high-stakes securities disputes into favorable outcomes for her clients. As the leader of King & Spalding's Securities Litigation and Professional Liability team, Ms. Bugni has built a track record of dismissals, successful challenges to class certification, and resolutions shaped by thorough preparation and strategic litigation. Named a Top Women Lawyer in California by the Daily Journal, she combines deep subject-matter knowledge with a practical, results-oriented approach.

Based in San Francisco and Los Angeles, Ms. Bugni represents public companies, their boards, executives, and auditors in complex shareholder disputes across the country. Her practice spans securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative suits, M&A litigation, appraisal actions, and post-closing transaction disputes.

Ms. Bugni's practice is defined by consistently strong results. She obtained a dismissal with prejudice for Allbirds and its executives in a class action arising from the company's $237 million IPO. She defeated class certification for The RealReal after also winning dismissal of its Section 10(b) claims. And for Tivity Health, her team's successful Daubert motion excluding plaintiff's damages expert led to a resolution at a fraction of plaintiffs' alleged damages.

Ms. Bugni graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as articles and comments editor of the Inter-American Law Review. She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame. She is admitted to practice in California, Florida, and Georgia, as well as multiple federal appellate and district courts.
