George Hwang and Elizabeth Allan were featured speakers at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE) Startup Checkup event in Atlanta on July 25, 2025. George and Elizabeth led a presentation discussing general types, principles and provisions of commercial contracts for startup businesses. George and Elizabeth also discussed common litigation risks and manners in which startups can defend themselves against such risks. The event focused on assessing startup businesses’ health and sharing best practices and was hosted by King & Spalding and BlackRock. More information on RICE’s mission can be found here.
