On May 8, 2024, the PCAOB announced it will hold an open meeting on May 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. EST, in which the Board will consider adopting a new auditing standard, AS 1000, General Responsibilities of the Auditor in Conducting an Audit, as well as a new quality control standard, QC 1000, A Firm’s System of Quality Control, along with other amendments to PCAOB standards, rules, and forms.
