SEC Enforcement Director Resigns

On March 16, 2026, Judge Margaret A. Ryan resigned from her role as Director of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement.  Principal Deputy Director Sam Waldon was named Acting Director of the Division, effective March 16, 2026.  The SEC’s press release states that the Commission is expected to announce a permanent successor in the coming weeks.
