On May 30, 2023, the PCAOB announced that it will hold an open meeting on June 6, 2023. At the meeting, the PCAOB will consider issuing for public comment a proposal to amend PCAOB auditing standards regarding an auditor’s responsibility for noncompliance with laws and regulations, including fraud, in an audit. A recording will be available on the PCAOB’s website following the meeting.
