backOn July 20, 2026, the PCAOB held an open meeting to consider requesting public comment on draft goals and objectives for the PCAOB’s 2026-2030 strategic plan. The Board issued a request for public comment on the draft goals and objectives during the open meeting. The six draft goals are: (1) Modernize Standard Setting and Implementation; (2) Modernize the Inspections and Registration Programs; (3) Sharpen Enforcement Focus on Conduct Harmful to Investors; (4) Deepen Stakeholder Engagement and Communication; (5) Modernize Oversight Through Technology and Data; and (6) Strengthen Organizational Effectiveness and Stewardship.
Chairman Logothetis and Board Members Botic, Laughton, and Calabria provided prepared remarks during the open meeting. Each of the Board Members’ prepared remarks expressed support for the draft strategic plan and for additional public comment.
