King & Spalding advised Smith Ventures as it entered into the definitive agreement to acquire and privatize Green Dot Corporation’s (NYSE: GDOT) non-bank financial technology business assets and operations for $690 million. The company will continue running as an independent and growth-focused fintech and embedded finance company.
