King & Spalding has represented All Seas Capital on the successful realisation of its investment in Hakim Group, the UK’s largest family of independent opticians and audiologists.

On 22 May, Hakim announced that it was bringing global alternative asset manager, ICG, on board as an additional investment partner. All Seas Capital is reinvesting alongside ICG in this next phase of development for the business. All Seas made its initial investment in Hakim in 2020, since when the company has experienced rapid growth, with the number of independent practices increasing nearly five-fold to over 500 and its team now numbering over 3,000 employees. More details of the deal can be found here.

The King & Spalding team on the deal was led by William Charnley and Marcus Young, with support from William Morris and Michael Langan.
