Wes Benter

Wes Benter advises private equity funds and public and private companies on labor and employment-related aspects of complex domestic and international corporate transactions and restructurings, including workforce reductions.  He has experience counseling clients on wage and hour law compliance, enforceability of restrictive covenants and drafting and negotiating various employment, consulting and separation agreements.

Wes began his career as an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York and transferred to Chicago in February 2022, following a six-month litigation secondment at Compass, Inc.  Prior to joining the legal profession, he worked in the video production and television news industry.
