  • Defend energy sector clients since 2007 in climate change cases around the U.S.
  • Defend manufacturers of PCBs and PFAS products against local entities and state Attorney General natural resource damage claims.
  • Represent Baker Hughes subsidiary Dresser Industries in mass tort litigation over trichloroethylene (TCE) contamination of neighborhoods. Defeated class actions, obtained Lone Pine orders, and obtained favorable verdict in bellwether property damage case in Louisiana federal court.

International arbitrations involving Oil & Gas Contamination

    Successful defense of a $2 billion environmental counterclaim for oil and gas contamination of a concession in Ecuador for ConocoPhillips affiliate Burlington Resources.
  • Defended oil and gas contamination claims against Chevron subsidiary Texaco, Inc. in arbitration claim of fraudulent Ecuadorian judgment.
