  • Represented a real estate investment firm in connection with the $86.3 million sale of a $159.3 million mortgage loan secured by an office park in San Mateo, California, involving a concurrent deed-in-lieu of foreclosure and a $68.1 million leveraged loan that converted into an REO loan.
  • Represented a publicly traded banking institution in connection with a $174.9 million mortgage loan and $46.1 million mezzanine loan to a joint venture for the construction of a Class-A industrial warehouse totaling approximately 1.4 million SF in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, including negotiation of an intercreditor agreement.
  • Represented a commercial real estate debt manager, as administrative agent, in connection with a $52.5 million mortgage loan and $22.5 million mezzanine loan secured by a 126,462 SF mixed-use property in Brooklyn, New York, involving a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure workout.
  • Represented a global investment management firm in connection with a $145 million mortgage loan secured by a 256,324 SF office property in West Palm Beach, Florida.
  • Represented a real estate investment firm in connection with a $92 million construction loan for a 191-unit multifamily development with retail space in Culver City, California, with a simultaneous $71.125 million note-on-note financing.
  • Represented a global alternative asset manager's real estate credit platform in connection with a $150 million construction loan secured by two industrial warehouse sites totaling over one million SF in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
  • Represented an international banking institution in connection with a $252.6 million upsize of a note-on-note facility, bringing the total commitment to approximately $905 million, secured by a portfolio of loans including a new loan on a 15-property hotel portfolio across twelve states, with a forward flow financing structure
  • Represented a commercial real estate debt manager in connection with an $82.5 million note-on-note loan secured by a $110 million building loan on a 316,025 SF office building at 370 Lexington Avenue, New York, involving a structured discounted payoff of existing debt.
  • Represented a real estate investment firm in connection with a $256.2 million acquisition mortgage loan for a 636-unit luxury apartment complex in San Jose, California, simultaneously placed on a repurchase facility with a national banking institution.

Rayelle Washington is an associate in the New York office of King & Spalding and a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Funds practice.  Rayelle's practice is focused on commercial real estate finance, where she represents financial institutions and real estate funds in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including single- and multi-lender construction loans, mortgage loans, mezzanine loans and other leveraged financings.
