Bio

Priscilla Ruiz represents corporate clients in complex business litigation matters, including breach of contract, commercial disputes, and other high-stakes civil actions in federal and state courts. She takes a hands-on approach, working directly with clients to understand their business operations and risk tolerance, and translating those priorities into effective litigation strategy and resolution.

Priscilla has extensive experience managing all phases of litigation, from pleadings and discovery through depositions, arbitration, mediation, and settlement. She regularly drafts dispositive and non-dispositive motions, briefs, mediation statements, settlement agreements, and internal case memoranda. She also leads core aspects of fact development and discovery, including document collection and review, subpoena practice, and managing large-scale productions.

Priscilla takes primary responsibility for mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations, including direct client advocacy. She has prepared examination materials for more than ten depositions and has first-chaired depositions, defended corporate witnesses, negotiated favorable settlements, and secured dismissals in arbitration. She coordinates closely with partners, experts, and vendors to develop the factual record and prepare matters for trial.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Priscilla practiced at Jones Day in Miami, where she represented a wide range of clients in complex commercial and consumer litigation, including Fair Credit Reporting Act disputes, class actions, and other civil matters. She also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Jose E. Martinez in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Priscilla earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated in the top three percent of her class and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. She received numerous academic honors, including the Dean's Merit Full Tuition Scholarship, multiple Dean's Certificate of Achievement Awards, and C.A.L.I. Excellence for the Future Awards. She also served as a Fellow with the University of Miami Health Rights Clinic and as a James Peter Fellow with LawWithoutWalls. Priscilla is a native speaker of both Spanish and English.
