Léo Lemaire focuses on complex and sensitive business disputes, advising clients on the resolution of high-stakes litigation and on the management of related risks and crises.

Admitted to practice in both Paris and New York, Léo advises and represents French and international companies and financial institutions, as well as their executives and shareholders, in connection with their complex disputes. He assists clients in both pre-litigation and litigation matters, including settlements and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings, and develops strategies to manage legal and business risks arising from contentious situations.

Léo represents clients before civil, commercial and criminal courts, as well as before regulatory authorities, including in enforcement and sanctions proceedings.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Léo practiced for several years at another leading U.S. law firm, where he gained significant experience in commercial litigation, corporate and M&A disputes, banking and finance litigation, and directors’ and officers’ liability matters.

Léo holds Master’s degrees from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master of Law from Fordham University (New York).
