John T. Porter

John Porter joined King & Spalding in 2020 and currently serves as the firm's Director of Office Operations. He manages the day-to-day operations of the San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Sacramento offices and provides operational oversight to several additional offices across the firm's national footprint. His responsibilities span human resources, office services, facilities management, financial functions and budgets, and marketing, and technology/information services.

John has over 25 years of experience working in law firms, and began his career as an IT trainer for McCutchen, Doyle Brown & Enersen. John’s IT career later included roles as an Applications Analyst and IT Manager overseeing IT Service Desk and Desktop Support technicians. John has been a law office administrator since 2013.

John holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College of California, and a Master’s in Law Firm Management from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
