Jennifer Lewin focuses on representing hospitals, health systems, and healthcare providers in managed care litigation, payor disputes, government investigations, and complex healthcare matters.

Jennifer's managed care practice spans the full range of disputes that arise between providers and health plans. She has litigated and arbitrated the spectrum of managed care disputes on behalf of hospitals and health systems, including payor policy issues, line-item disallowances, coding disputes, contract enforcement, rate disagreements over contract language, authorization denials, utilization management denials, and medical necessity determinations. She understands the unique challenges hospitals face in managed care disputes and brings a practical, results-oriented approach grounded in deep subject-matter knowledge.

In addition to her managed care work, Jennifer defends healthcare entities in False Claims Act litigation and other complex cases involving specialized healthcare issues, giving her a well-rounded view of the regulatory landscape her clients navigate daily. She also counsels providers on compliance matters, drawing on her litigation experience to provide strategic, forward-looking guidance.

Before joining King & Spalding, Jennifer practiced in Silicon Valley, where she developed significant litigation experience across healthcare, environmental, and labor and employment matters.

Jennifer received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, where she served as a Production Editor of the Hastings Law Journal and a Moot Court Board Member. She earned her B.A. in History, with Honors, from Yale University, and her M.Sc. in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
