Jake Unsworth

Representative transactions include advising:

• A well established mid-market sponsor on senior debt funding for several its award-winning investments in a variety of sectors including IT, healthcare and professional services.
• An international bank on several of its distressed super senior facilities in the leveraged finance sector.
• A listed business on a bond issuance to fund the development of energy from waste facilities in Europe.
• A syndicate of lenders on their term and revolving credit facilities to one of the UK’s largest privately owned property investment funds.

Jake Unsworth is an experienced senior associate in King & Spalding’s Finance and Restructuring practice based in London.

Jake advises sponsors, lenders, asset managers and corporate borrowers across a broad range of corporate debt, private credit and leveraged finance transactions, with a particular focus on European mid-market acquisition financing.  In 2023, Jake completed a secondment with Barclays corporate lending legal team and he also previously worked for Santander UK Plc.

Jake is a trustee of the Northern Star Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust comprising over a dozen schools.
