Jacob Ebin

Jacob Ebin advises clients on copyright, antitrust and other complex litigation matters. Jacob has represented public and private companies in a range of industries, with a particular concentration in the music industry. Jacob has worked on numerous high-profile disputes that have shaped music rate-setting law and has extensive experience before the ASCAP and BMI rate courts as well as before the Copyright Royalty Board, where he has tried four separate cases.

In addition to music rate-setting work, Jacob has handled a number of disputes that involve both intellectual property and antitrust issues, including those in the entertainment and pharmaceuticals industries. Jacob also advises clients in connection with intellectual property licensing and has been actively involved in representing clients before the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Copyright Office as part of their recurring reviews of the music licensing landscape.

Jacob was formerly an analyst and manager at Lexecon, Inc. (now Compass Lexecon), one of the premier economic consulting firms. While there, he advised clients on antitrust and intellectual property disputes, with a focus on the entertainment and energy industries.
