Combined exposure was in excess of $100 million with no verdict in favor of the plaintiff. Law360 recognized Cory for this work by naming him a Trials MVP, one of five named nationally.

  • Lead trial counsel for Gol Airlines in a breach of contract action in state court in Miami.
  • Counsel for automobile manufacturer in numerous wrongful death cases throughout the country.
  • Lead trial counsel for national securities firm in high-stakes arbitrations in several states.
  • Represented a national bank in federal court in Atlanta in claims of breach of contract and tortuous interference with contractual relationships arising out of a merger.
  • Defended a hedge fund in federal court in North Carolina in claims brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission that alleged violation of various securities laws including claims of insider trading.

Bio

Cory Hohnbaum is a nationally recognized trial lawyer comfortable in courtrooms across the country.  He has been the lead trial lawyer in over seventy cases in his career and has tried twenty high-stakes personal injury cases in the last decade. In additional to his tort and personal injury work, Cory has successfully tried cases in multiple jurisdictions in a wide variety of other subject matters including employment, securities, construction, patent infringement and insurance coverage.   

In addition to his trial experience, Cory has argued before the Second and Fourth Circuit Courts of Appeals, the Supreme Court of South Carolina and the Courts of Appeals of North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.
